I am Useless

So after waking up at 7:30 AM I have just completed a 5-post analysis of my fantasy baseball league for all to see, with final projections and in-depth analysis of every scoring category. Clearly, more important than searching for a job. And clearly I have turned to The Pewch Revolution to stall that further.

Pedro Martinez is good. I read reports that he was pitching out of the wind up with runners on base though. Apparently Pedro has been watching too many of those ESPN Little League World Series commercials ESPN is bombarding us all with.

Seriously though, even as a hated Red Sock for all those years, I always secretly enjoyed Pedro. He is such an artist to watch...just so fluid in his motion and all of his pitches just have a zip about them.

He probably will need to throw more than 5 innings at some point to be of much use to the Phils...but if he can still juice it up to 93 at times there is little reason to believe he can't still be effective.

I don't care about Rick Pitino.

Soccer involves a lot of running.

  1. soccer sucks. who is pedros next start against. 2nd start should be the one to judge him by. now there is tape on him again.

  2. Looks like Tuesday, hosting Arizona. Will be well rested and facing a poor offense in his home debut. Then would probably project to pitch @ the mets in the following series. Pretty decent draw for him, the start @ Chicago looked like the toughest one really, but we will see how his arm rebounds. My guess is that adrenaline and a poor Zona lineup should get him through his next...then the pitching park / beat up Mets could allow him to continue to succeed. I would watch closely his innings pitched / pitches thrown / strikeouts / strike to ball ratio very closely to see if he shows any signs of a tiring arm, which could be telling for how he may pitch down the stretch.

You also have to think the Phillies will look to skip his spot or give him some extra days whenever possible. You have to think they're going to ask him to give them more than 5 innings at some point though..and given his history of wearing down late in games, you have to wonder if that might even be exaggerated at this point in his career. Can he really get through the sixth inning or the heart of a lineup the third time around? Probably not, but I guess we will find out.

  3. I can't say I care to much about Ricky P either. The junkies (sports/entertainment show) I listen to in the drive to work were astonished at the story. Kinda funny though that he took her in the bathroom and did some damage and then paid her off $3K for "medical insurance."

  4. Yeah 5 innings a start is a joke, unless you like seeing Chan Ho Park coming out of the bullpen in the 6th. But for my team (Braves) its good that the phillies decided to bring on another old man so they could tax their bullpen some more. I could care less about the Pitino story as well. Woman lost all credibilty by asking for 10 million for taking it from behind in the restaurant.
