For those who missed it the Tigers and Red Sox got into a bit of a scrap yesterday with both benches and bullpens emptying. Basically this all started Monday when Brad Penny hit Miguel Cabrera. The Tigers responded by plunking Kevin Youkilis. Cooler heads prevailed that day. Tuesday however, was a different story. Some pewch rookie for the Sox nailed Cabrera again. This time it was in the hand which would eventually cause Miggy to leave the game. This would be the point in the game where a responsible umpire would issue warnings to each manager but unfortunately that was not the case. Enter Tigers rookie phenom Rick Porcello. Although he maintains it was an accident, Porcello hit Youkilis again causing the "tough guy" to charge the mound and, wait for it, throw his helmet at Porcello. Porcello promptly pulled a card out of his UFC skill set and took Youkilis down. Youkilis was obviously thrown out but they also threw out Porcello without giving him a warning. If this was the National League they would have had to hit about 9 people before someone got thrown out. Boooooooooooo!

I wouldve done the same damn thing. Bastard hits me in the same exact spot 2 days in a row in the ribs, im charging his ass. Where are the tigers guys charging the mound if their so pissed about getting drilled?
ReplyDeleteThe Tigers were busy practicing their Mixed Martial Arts so that they could make Youkilis look like a little girl when he charged the mound.
ReplyDeleteIt was a nice hip toss, but those over paid pussies in the Tigers line up need to man up if their sick of getting hit too. Magglio might of cut his long hair but hes still a woman, and Cabrera is too fat and slow to charge the damn mound. Seems to me their pitchers are tougher with porcello and verlander.
ReplyDeleteI would agree Magglio is overpaid but Cabrera is just a bit husky. It's tough to call a team in first place over paid but check back with me in a week.
ReplyDeleteMVP Kevin Youkalis wins the game for boston by getting Porcello out and bringing in Mike Lowell to play third. Who then went out and hit 2 dingers. Love dingers!
