Weekend RoundUp

Nothing happened this weekend. Nothing at all. Just a boring weekend in sports unless you care about Dustin Pedroia and Johnathan Broxton not playing in the all-star game. The Angels waxed the Yanks to no surprise. Johnathan Sanchez threw a no-hitter.

The home run derby is composed of Brandon Inge (disgusting), Carlos Pena, Nelson Cruz, Joe Mauer (what a terrible lineup for the AL, couldn't be more bored with this, though Cruz could hit some bombs). The NL has a bit of juice however with Adrian Gonzalez, Prince Fielder, Ryan Howard and Albert Pujols. What happened to the AL being this huge powerhouse, that looks about as lopsided as the early 2000's East vs West NBA All-Star games.

Boxer Arturo Gotti allegedly was strangled to death by his wife's purse, irony? The Gatti-Ward matches are the stuff of legend, very strange end to the career of a noted "warrior."

Anyway, the Millman and I will be posting a first-half baseball review. Should be a pretty extensive review of the year so far that hopefully touches on some things people are ignoring. Be on the lookout for that possibly tonight, but probably tomorrow morning.

  1. UFC 100...I did not watch but did any one see lesner's rant? was it as rediculous as all the news media is reporting?

  2. UFC 100 was awesome. The two guys that talked the most shit got their asses completely kicked, with Bisping getting knocked the fuck out. It was probably the best knockout ive ever seen. Lesnar's rant was pretty bad, but at the same time it was hilarious. Especially the line about drinking coors light instead of bud light. He apologized later and everything is good now. He showed up drinking a bud light at the press conference. It was a great show, and its hard to imagine anyone beating him right now. The best guy to challenge him isnt even in the UFC. I think one word that sums the sho up is Karma. It felt so good to see Bisping get was due to him. He litterally got shut up, and it was for more than a few seconds as he couldnt get up off the mat for them to raise Hendersons arm.
