The Pewch Revolution: Criminals!

As many of you know when the Millman and I started this blog we went searching for a way to track our hit count. Blogspot happened to have connected with Google in a program called Adsense which tracked hits and also gave bloggers an easy method of creating revenue by placing advertisements in as many places as the bloggers would allow. For each click of an ad the blog would create some revenue (usually somewhere between 10 and 25 cents I believe). Bloggers of course were not allowed to click ads themselves or use a program that would click ads. We decided to place a single advertisement in between the first and second story - which I have come to realize many people never even noticed.

And so The Pewch Revolution Adsense marriage began. It was quite the marriage as The Revolution in a couple months actually surpassed the magic threshold of 100 bucks (thanks to our small but loyal fanbase - and I stress this is not something we believed would happen in under a year) to actually get a check from corporate super-power Google itself:

In fact, The Pewch Revolution's fanbase had been so strong that the Millman and Mulldog were well on their way toward hitting the 200 dollar mark as we had surpassed 7,000 total hits and countless ad clicks in the blog's short history.

And then, Adsense became suspicious that the Pewch Revolution was not being entirely faithful to her. I believe this stemmed from me logging in on my girlfriend's computer to try and add an update for you readers while out on a trip out to Buffalo...my girlfriend I'm sure is the most avid ad-clicker out there (not surprisingly) and while I knew there was a risk, we never really cared about the money, I just wanted to enhance the value of the blog. But super-power Google and its understudy Adsense apparently consider The Pewch Revolution and it's 100+ dollars of revenue a significant risk to their company, as our appeal was met with this email (about a month plus later despite their claim of a week or maybe a little more):

Hello,

Thanks for providing us with additional information. However, after
thoroughly reviewing your account data and taking your feedback into
consideration, we've re-confirmed that your account poses a significant
risk to our advertisers. For this reason, we're unable to reinstate your
account. Thank you for your understanding.

Interestingly, I never even cashed the first check, so Google wins again! Ladies and gentlemen, your very own, Pewch Revolution Criminals: The Millman, The Mulldog...and I think, still..TommyB.

  1. It all comes back to our mission statement...

The word pewch is hard to define. It’s a way of life that includes a man’s constant mishaps, awkward and embarrassing moments, bad decisions, and failures. The millman is undoubtedly pewch, the mulldog is absolutely pewch, and after spending some time with us you will soon realize (if you haven’t already) you are also pewch.
